IT WAS THE SUMMER of The Alchemist, the sixth Harry Potter book, Pride and Prejudice and endless, endless glasses of ice tea that sweated down my hand while a pug named Ralph gnawed a bone at my side in the sweet-smelling grass.
Books contain memories and I spent one glorious summer dog-sitting and reading in the grass under a canopy of trees. I’ll never forget the deep relaxation I felt reading away the days with nothing but the breeze turning pages for me.
THE LIST BELOW is ever growing and ever evolving. It seems my hunger for new books can never be satiated and I devour novels and stories like I can destroy a dim sum lunch (which if you’ve ever seen me do is not something that can be unseen. You have been warned).
Below you’ll find my top picks, in no particular order, of books that will completely absorb you. Enjoy!

In my arms is a woman who has given me a Skywatcher’s Cloud Chart, a woman who knows all my secrets, a woman who knows just how messed up my mind is, how many pills I’m on, and yet she allows me to hold her anyway.
And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
My life amounts to no more than one drop in a limitless ocean. Yet what is any ocean, but a multitude of drops?
